Zingheim, Rock win Stanford Invitational pole vault titles

Granite Bay's Katie Zingheim and Davis' Ian Rock won respective girls and boys pole vault titles at Saturday's Stanford Invitational.

Zingheim placed first with a vault of 12 feet, 5 1/2 inches. Rock took first at 14-11.

Several other area athletes won invidiual titles. They were:

• Jesuit's Stephen Boals, shot put, 59-10 1/2.

• Galt's Haran Piggee, long jump, 23-06 1/2.

• Oak Ridge's Will Findlay, high jump, 6-4 3/4.

• Granite Bay's Kevin Nielsen, 400 hurdles, 55.47.

Several area athletes (and relay teams) finished second. They were:

• The Oak Ridge distance medley team of Holli Arrieta, Cami Crawford, Maxine Goyette and Samantha Ralstin, 18 minutes, 10 seconds.

• The Oak Ridge 4 x 800 team of Arrieta, Goyette, Jackie Mansoor and Ralstin, 9:34.69.

• Bear River's Kendal Nielsen, long jump, 18-01 3/4.

• Vista del Lago's Emily Cooper, 100, 12.25.

• Granite Bay's James Kinloch, discus, 155-06.

• Granite Bay's Kevin Nielsen, high jump, 6-2 3/4.
