Rock, Zingheim claim Arcadia Invitational pole vault titles

Ian Rock of Davis and Katie Zingheim of Granite Bay won pole vault titles at Saturday's Arcadia Invitational, one of the nation's finest prep track and field meets.

Rock was one of three boys to go over 16 feet, 1 inch, but the Blue Devil won on fewer jumps over Connor Stark of Oak Park and Adam Bragg of El Toro after missing at 16-6.

Zingheim, already with a personal best of 13-4 this season, finished first at 12-6.75. Anginae Monteverde of Clovis West finished second followed by Kayla Polcari of Ridgewood, N.J., both at 12-2.75.

Jesuit's Stephen Boals finished second in the shot put (59-09), Granite Bay's James Kinloch was third in the discus (170-02) and Oak Ridge's Will Findlay fourth in the high jump (6-7) in the top-level invitational portion of the meet.
