Davis and St. Francis have advanced to Sac-Joaquin Section Division I girls soccer semifinals after winning matches this afternoon.
Behind Anna Gilbertson's two goals, Davis defeated Sheldon 2-1 in overtime in Davis. St. Francis defeated visiting Napa 3-1.
The Blue Devils, ranked No. 3 nationally by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, will play host to the winner of tonight's Lodi-Pitman game 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
St. Francis will travel to the winner of tonight's St. Mary's of Stockton-Enochs of Modesto match Thursday.
Other area teams to win today:
Goals by Julia Platter, Moressa Lindsey and Rhiannon Lucatuorto led Bella Vista past defending champion Roseville 3-2 in a D-II quarterfinal. Granite Bay's Avery Hutchison had two goals and Kayla Karlsson and Anna Goddi one each as the Grizzlies defeated McClatchy 4-2 in another D-II quarterfinal. Hannah Keane had both McClatchy goals. Granite Bay will play at Bella Vista in Thursday's 3:30 p.m. semifinals.
Rio Americano, ranked No. 8 nationally, defeated Inderkum 6-1 in the D-III quarterfinals. The Raiders will play host to tonight's Rodriguez/Colfax winner in Thursday's 3:30 p.m. semifinals.
In D-VI quaterfinals, Bradshaw cruised past Woodland Christian 11-0 while Forest Lake Christian beat Ripon, 4-3 on penalty kicks. The two winners will meet in a Thursday semifinal.
