Oak Ridge water polo player appears in Sports Illustrated

Oak Ridge senior water polo player Amanda Jones, who surpassed the 200 goal mark for her career on Tuesday, appears in the "Faces in the Crowd" segment of the Sept. 28 issue of Sports Illustrated.

The item highlights Jones' eight-goal performance in a 12-9 win Aug. 28 over Oakmont. That broke a school record for goals in a game.

Jones, a captain and hole set, set a school record last season for goals with 83 to become the Trojans' career scoring leader, male or female.

After scoring six goals in Tuesday's 13-4 win over Woodcreek, Jones has 70 goals this season and 204 for her career.
