Defending D-II, D-III and D-IV section soccer champs advance

With Tanner Thompson scoring two goals, defending Sac-Joaquin Section Division II boys soccer champion Granite Bay has advanced to Thursday's semifinals after beating Oakmont 5-0 today.

The Grizzlies will play host to McClatchy, a 1-0 winner over Christian Brothers.
Woodcreek will play at Bella Vista in Thursday's other semifinal. Woodcreek beat Kennedy 3-1 and Bella Vista topped Nevada Union 3-0.

In Division III quarterfinal matches, Rio Americano downed Lincoln 1-0; Natomas beat Vallejo 3-1 on PKs after playing to a 2-2 tie through regulation and overtime; Antelope defeated Yuba City 1-0 and Placer topped Benicia 3-0.

Natomas, the defending section champions, will play at Rio Americano and Antelope will travel to Auburn to face Placer on Thursday.

In Division IV, defending section champ Vista del Lago moved to Thursday's semifinals after beating Livingston 8-0. Vista will play host to Sierra, a 2-1 winner over Ceres.
