Boys Top 20: No. 12 Oak Ridge shocks No. 1 Sheldon 39-35

No. 12 Oak Ridge, putting the clamps on top-ranked Sheldon's fast-paced offense, upset the Huskies 39-35 tonight in a Delta River League boys basketball game in El Dorado Hills.

Oak Ridge led 17-9 at halftime and 24-20 after three quarters.

Bryce Scott led Oak Ridge with 15 points. Kyiron Thomas topped Sheldon with 10.

In other games involving The Bee's Top 20 boys teams:

• Parker Uu had 18 points in leading five Jesuit players in double figures as the No. 2 Marauders defeated No. 3 Pleasant Grove 75-57.

• Darius Graham tallied 18 points as No. 4 Sacramento beat McClatchy 82-56 in a Metro Conference game.

• Michael Bryson had 22 points and Kelly Bender 18 as No. 6 Foothill defeated No. 13 Center 74-52 in a Pioneer Valley League contest.

• Victor Rustin had 31 points and Darin Johnson 28 in No. 7 Franklin's 98-79 Delta Valley Conference win over Davis.

• Sophomore Malik Pope had 12 points in leading No. 8 Burbank past No. 11 Kennedy 54-48 in a Metro game. Derrick West had a game-high 19 points for Kennedy.

• K.J. Logue had 22 points and Ahmad Smith 15 in No. 9 Bella Vista's 74-46 Capital Valley Conference win over Rio Linda.

• Johnny Hayes had 16 points in leading No. 10 Del Campo to a 73-44 win over Christian Brothers.

• Justin Woody topped Folsom with 19 points as the No. 15 Bulldogs defeated Ponderosa 68-57 in a Delta River League game.
