The Delta River League has earned this season's top Sac-Joaquin Section boys and girls basketball strength ratings.

The strength ratings, compiled by a section seeding committee based on nonleague games played before Jan. 6, help influence qualifying and positioning for the postseason.

The Delta River boys and girls both received an 8.2 rating.

The Delta River League boys includes The Bee's No. 1 Sheldon, No. 2 Jesuit, No. 3 Pleasant Grove, No. 12 Oak Ridge and No. 15 Folsom.

The Delta River League girls includes No. 2 Pleasant Grove, No. 3 Oak Ridge, No. 6 St. Francis and No. 9 Sheldon.

The other area leagues strength ratings:

Boys - Metro Conference 7.2; Capital Valley Conference and Pioneer Valley League, 7.0; Capital Athletic League and Delta Valley Conference, 6.8; Sierra Foothill League, 6.2; Golden Empire League, Sierra Valley Conference and Tri-County Conference, 5.4; Sierra Delta League 4.4; Central Valley California League, 4.2; Sacramento Metro Athletic League, 3.6; Northern Pacific Athletic Conference, 3.0.

Girls - Metro 7.6; Delta Valley Conference, 7.0; Capital Valley Conference, 6.8; Sierra Foothill League, 6.6; Pioneer Valley League, 6.2; Capital Athletic League, 6.0; Sierra Valley Conference, 5.4; Tri-County Conference, 4.8; Golden Empire League, 4.6; Sierra Delta League, 4.2; Central Valley California League, 3.8; Sacramento Metro Athletic League, 3.6; Northern Pacific Athletic Conference, 3.2.
