Boys Top 20: Sacramento rallies to defeat Kennedy 76-67

Juniors James Hadnot and Joseph Barnes combined for 35 points and No. 3 Sacramento outscored No. 10 Kennedy 25-13 in the fourth quarter to rally to a 76-67 Metro Conference boys basketball win tonight in Greenhaven.

With the win, Sac High (21-5, 13-0) claims the outright Metro title.

Derrick West had a game-high 20 points for Kennedy (19-7, 10-3).

In games involving other Bee Top 20 boys teams:

• Michael Bryson and Douglas James each had 13 points and Anthony Williams added 12 as No. 6 Foothill defeated Placer 62-50 to finish the regular season 24-3 and undefeated in Pioneer Valley League play. Isaiah Pineiro had a game-high 19 points for Placer.

• Jay Stone's 11 points led No. 7 Burbank to a 60-56 Metro Conference win over McClatchy. Nick Modar had 21 points for McClatchy.

• K.J. Logue had 25 points, Ahmad Smith 11 and 12 Bella Vista players scored in the No. 9 Broncos' 68-44 Capital Valley Conference win over Rio Linda.

• Davit Saghatelyan had 23 points and Johnny Hayes 17 as No. 11 Del Campo defeated Christian Brothers 67-59 in a CVC game in Oak Park.

• Kenneth Parker had 13 points and Marcus Horton 12 as No. 13 Center defeated Bear River 58-54 in a PVL contest in Antelope. Justin Beeskeen had 24 points for Bear River.
