Girls Top 20: No. 4 Oak Ridge slips past No. 7 St. Francis 43-42

Oak Ridge outscored St. Francis 16-11 in the final quarter as the No. 4 Trojans posted a 43-42 win over No. 7 St. Francis in a Delta River League girls basketball game tonight in El Dorado Hills.

Haley Anderson finished with 11 points and Jenn Hoffman added 10 as Oak Ridge remained in second place in league.

In other games involving Bee Top 20 girls teams:

• Ayanna Edwards led five Sacramento High players in double figures with 16 points as the top-ranked Dragons defeated Valley 84-42 in a Metro Conference game. Shanetra Robinson had 20 points for Valley.

• Marissa Wimbley's 21 points lifted No. 2 Pleasant Grove past Folsom 69-30 in a DRL contest.

• Kedina Monroe's 15 points helped No. 6 Sheldon over Ponderosa 47-37 in a DRL game. Sheldon is tied with Oak Ridge for second place in the DRL.

• Lynette Johnson's 16 points led No. 8 Kennedy to a 64-10 Metro win over Hiram Johnson.

• Daijah Joe-Smith's 21 points lifted No. 9 Florin to a 48-29 Metro win over McClatchy.

• Ishana Burch's 34 points helped No. 10 Christian Brothers to defeat Rio Linda 69-47 in a Capital Valley Conference game. Paulette Williams had 29 for Rio Linda.

• Haley Shaner scored 17 points, Erianna Williams 16 and Barbara Keomany 14 as No. 16 West Campus defeated Marysville 61-39 in a Golden Empire League contest.
