Girls Top 20: Pleasant Grove defeats Lincoln of Stockton 62-50

Dejza James scored 22 points and Marissa Wimbley added 17 as Bee No. 2 Pleasant Grove defeated Lincoln 62-50 tonight in Stockton in a battle of Sac-Joaquin Section girls basketball powers.

Pleasant Grove is ranked No. 2 in the section behind St. Mary's of Stockton by Maxpreps.com. Lincoln is ranked No. 4.

In other games involving Bee Top 20 girls teams:

• Michelle Tafoya led 13 El Camino players in the scoring column with 13 points as the No. 4 Eagles beat Mira Loma 78-19 in a Capital Athletic League contest.

• Nicole Lierly had 15 points and Kaylin Martin 14 as No. 11 Nevada Union defeated Roseville 81-46 to remain atop the Sierra Foothill League.

• Stephanie Geyer and Brianna Ruiz combined for 24 points as No. 12 Del Oro rallied from a 26-19 halftime deficit to beat Woodcreek 46-44 to stay in a tie for first with Nevada Union in the SFL. Del Oro will play Thursday at Nevada Union to decide the championship.

• Sakara Brewer had 16 points and Ericka Magana added 15 to lead No. 13 Inderkum to a 54-47 Tri-County Conference win over River Valley.

• Lydia Summers had 12 points and Jaimie Curtis added 10 as No. 15 Rocklin downed Granite Bay 61-37 in an SFL game.

• Tyler Ellis, Ashley Hawkins and Michelle Okoroike combined for all but two of their team's points in No. 19 Antelope's 34-24 CAL win over No. 17 Rio Americano.
