Corinne Friend had 17 points and MacKenzie Conarro 14 as No. 7 St. Francis defeated Folsom 69-46 in a Delta River League girls basketball game tonight.
The win secured a playoff berth for St. Francis, the defending D-I section champions. St. Francis entered the week needing a win.
The Troubadours (15-12, 5-5) were at No. 16 in the section's power ratings. Only the top 16 teams qualify for the postseason, unless a team that doesn't make the top 16 wins or shares a league title. Then there is an outbracket game.

Brianna Burgos tallied 29 points to lead No. 5 Sheldon to a 65-61 win over No. 2 Pleasant Grove in a Delta River League game. The win prevented Pleasant Grove (19-8, 9-1), the league champions, from finishing unbeaten in league.
Briana Womack's 12 points led top-ranked Sacramento to a 68-27 Metro Conference win over McClatchy.
Katie King had 13 points as No. 3 River City beat Vista del Lago 55-23 to finish as co-Sierra Valley Conference champions with El Dorado.
Daijah Joe-Smith had 20 points to lead No. 8 Florin to a 57-39 Metro Conference win over Valley.
Lynette Johnson had 21 points to lead No. 9 Kennedy to a 64-20 Metro win over Burbank. Kennedy and Florin finish in a tie for second in the Metro at 10-4.
Alicia Gonzalez' 18 points highlighted No. 10 Christian Brothers' 55-47 Capital Valley Conference win over Casa Roble.
Summayyah Wiggins' 20 points litfed Delta Valley Conference champion and No. 14 Monterey Trail to a 71-52 win over Grant.
Haley Shaner had 18 points and Erianna Williams 16 as No. 16 and Golden Empire League champion West Campus (20-5, 10-0) defeated Mesa Verde 61-31.
