Freshman leads Colfax to ski championship at Northstar


Colfax freshman Teagan Santin won the girls overall downhill ski title at the California Nevada Interscholastic Ski and Snowboard Federation championships recently at Northstar at Tahoe.

Santin won the giant slalom by more than four seconds and the slalom by more than three seconds in leading Colfax to the girls team title. Davis won the combined girls and boys team title.

Colfax junior Nelly Steinhoff won the girls overall snowboard title, placing second in the giant slalom and slalom events.

El Dorado senior Sage Hoffee placed first in the giant slalom to lead the Cougars to the girls snowboard team title. Nevada Union junior Drew Bernadett won the slalom title.
Placer won the boys snowboarding team title and El Dorado took the combined team title.
