Woodcreek duo helps North softball stars to beat South 10-5

The North defeated the South 10-5 in the Evening Optimist Club's 35th annual all-star softball game Wednesday night at Capital Christian High School.

Woodcreek's Courtney Johnson hit a three-run homer; Woodcreek's Paige Davis a two-run single; and Bear River's Alyssa Reina a solo home run for the North.

Elk Grove's Carlee Gray had a three-run homer and Cosumnes Oaks' Taylor McClanahan a two-run double for the South.

Gray was named the South MVP, and Del Oro pitcher Jordan Courage was the North MVP.
