The Major League Baseball Draft ended today after three days and 40 rounds.
A peek at the Sacramento-area players selected:

* Short stop Zach Green (pictured left) of Jesuit, Phillies, third round.
* Pitcher Justin Haley of Bella Vista, Sierra College, Fresno State, Red Sox, sixth round.
* Pitcher Ben Eckels of Davis, Diamondbacks, 11th round.
* Pitcher Dylan Chavez of Pleasant Grove, ARC, Mississippi, Red Sox, 14th round.
* Outfielder Cody Keefer of Davis and UCLA, Marlins, 15th round.
* Outfielder Shaq Thompson of Grant, Red Sox, 18th round.
