Placer's Eddie Vanderdoes is listed as the No. 1 high school prospect in NorCalPreps.com's Class of 2013 Northern California Football Top 50.
The 6-foot-4, 305-pound senior, a national recruit who already has 52 scholarship offers, is a defensive tackle.
He's one of 13 area players to make the list. The others:
No. 11, Nevada Union's Tanner Vallejo (6-3, 220-pound linebacker); No. 13, Cosumnes Oaks' Sam Smith (6-4, 283-pound defensive tackle); No. 17, Antelope's Tyler Winston (6-2, 185-pound athlete); No. 26, Granite Bay's Beau Herschberger (6-2, 225-pound, linebacker); No. 28, Del Oro's Brandon Monroe (6-0, 180-pound athlete); and No. 32, Ponderosa's Jeff Camilli (6-4, 245-pound linebacker).
Also on the list are No. 33, Grant's Trayvon Henderson (6-2, 190-pound safety); No. 35, Grant's Misi Taifane (6-3, 300-pound defensive tackle); No. 38, Pleasant Grove's Nick Terry, (6-4, 270-pound defensive tackle); No. 39, Folsom's Taylor Miller-Wing (6-3, 198-pound quarterback); No. 41, Christian Brothers' Jalen Walker (6-1, 190-pound athlete); No. 50, Cosumnes Oaks' Kyle Saxelid (6-7, 240-pound offensive tackle).
