Placer football standout Eddie Vanderdoes, with a scholarship offer list that has balloned past 50, earned defensive MVP lineman honors this past weekend at Nike's The Opening, an elite combine in Oregon for the nation's top 150 football players.
Last week, via Twitter, Vanderdoes' narrowed his list of colleges to 10. Those still in the running are Baylor, California, Florida, LSU, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State, UCLA, USC and Washington.
The 6-foot-4, 300-pound senior defensive lineman - named Oregon's Nike camp MVP in early June - is rated the No. 2 Class of 2013 prospect in California by Rivals.com.
