More Week 8 stars: Bryant's 8 catches helps Colfax to victory

Here is a look at 20 other top Week 8 area football performances.

• Kyle Bryant, Colfax: Had eight catches for 158 yards and two touchdowns in the Falcons' 49-34 win over Foothill.

• Austin Brown, Del Campo: Rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries in the No. 9 Cougars' 41-38 win over Christian Brothers.

• Chris Cooper, Vista del Lago: Had four receptions for 117 yards and a touchdown in the No. 16 Eagles' 35-34 win over No. 17 Cosumnes Oaks.

• Brendan Gormley, Christian Brothers: Had 10 unassisted tackles and eight assisted tackles in the Falcons' 41-38 loss to No. 9 Del Campo.

• Deon Guther, Florin: Had two interceptions and seven tackles and returned a kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown in the Panthers' 28-26 win over McClatchy.

• Korey Hall, Dixon: Rushed for 120 yards and four touchdowns in the Rams' 60-0 win over West Campus.

• Josiah Johnson, Sacramento: Completed 10 of 16 passes for 172 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 104 yards and two scores in the Dragons' 73-0 win over Valley.

• Quinton Kirk, Capital Christian: Rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries and had 11 tackles in the Cougars' 54-6 win over Mesa Verde.

• Alex Kropp, Cosumnes Oaks: Completed 10 of 15 passes for 260 yards and three touchdowns in the No. 17 Wolfpack's 35-34 loss to No. 16 Vista del Lago.

• Mark Lyon, Rio Americano: Completed 11 of 14 passes for 253 yards and four touchdowns and also rushed for two scores in the Raiders' 80-34 win over Mira Loma.

• Steven Mercado, Antelope: Had three catches for 103 yards and two touchdowns in the No. 20 Titans' 41-6 win over Cordova.

• Teagan Mowry, Valley Christian: Rushed for 154 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries and had 12 tackles in the Lions' 54-30 win over Delta.

• Andrew Peterson, Capital Christan: Had a fumble recovery, a sack and 11 tackles in the Cougars' 54-6 win over Mesa Verde.

• Guillermo Salazar, Rio Americano: Caught six passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns and returned an interception 87 yards for a score in the Raiders' 80-34 win over Mira Loma.

• Davion Simmons, Sacramento: Returned two fumbles for touchdowns in the Dragons' 73-0 win over Valley.

• Riley Smith, Rio Linda: Had nine tackles, including two for losses, and three sacks in the No. 19 Knights' 49-22 win over Casa Roble.

• Eddie Vanderdoes, Placer: Had 10 tackles and 3.5 sacks in the No. 6 Hillmen's 10-7 win over Bear River.

• Ben Walls, Florin: Rushed for 108 yards and two touchdowns, threw a touchdown pass and intercepted a pass in the Panthers' 28-26 win over McClatchy.

• Kevin Walker, Cosumnes Oaks: Had eight tackles, two interceptions and two pass deflections in the No. 17 Wolfpack's 35-34 loss to No. 16 Vista del Lago.

• Isaiah Williams, Burbank: Rushed for 115 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries in the No. 4 Titans' 65-12 win over Rosemont.
