No. 4 Burbank put on its own on-field fireworks show during homecoming tonight in beating Rosemont 65-12 in a Metro Conference game at the Titans' two-year-old stadium.
Quarterback Ernest Jenkins rushed for 177 yards and two touchdowns; Keith Marcus for 125 yards and a touchdown and Isaiah Williams 115 yards and three touchdowns; and Taniela Finau and Jarad Hill returned interceptions for touchdowns as the Titans (8-0, 5-0) coasted past the Wolverines (4-4, 3-2).
Burbank had 505 total rushing yards and, with its front four of Edwin Fautua, Nagalu Tapa, Simione Vialea and Finau dominating up front, held Rosemont to 149 total yards, including five total rushing yards.
Speedy junior Calvin Green added 73 yards rushing and a touchdown on five carries and his interception of a Tyler Masterson pass in the third quarter, which he lateraled to Hill at Burbank's 25-yard line, was returned for a touchdown.
Masterson, a senior, played valiantly despite being under constant pressure from Burbank's explosive and punishing defense.
He completed 17 of 34 passes for 142 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown pass to Kameron Williams.
Burbank has outscored its five Metro Conference rivals 306-36.
