Placer-Colfax football game includes a shirtless spectator who gets plowed under on tackle

Friday night's Placer-Colfax high school football game pitting longtime rivals included an extra bit of energy.

During Placer's 24-7 Pioneer Valley League victory, a shirtless spectator with saggy pants and a dazed expression wandered onto the field. He picked up the football, which prompted Troy Minton-Sander to charge after him and tackle him, much to the crowd's delight.

A 1988 Placer player now working in law enforcement in the region, Minton-Sander was in street clothes on the sideline. He is the father of Placer player Stone Sander. Within seconds, a mob of law enforcement had the shirtless man contained.

Placer national recruit lineman Eddie Vanderdoes told the Auburn Journal of Minton-Sander's tackle, "Hit of the year."
