In a festive ceremony this morning, 10 St. Francis seniors signed NCAA letters of intent or "likely" letters (Ivy League) to continue their athletic careers in college next fall.
They are:
Meagan Bennett, lacrosse, St. Mary's College
Helped lead the Troubadours to two league championships and was league MVP as a junior.
Lauren Bryan, lacrosse, Fresno State
Overcoming season-ending knee injuries her previous two seasons, she was an impact player as a junior.
Alexey Chandler, water polo, Wagner College
American River Water Polo club 2010 MVP made the All-Sac-Joaquin Section first team this season.
Kaitlyn Cozens, water polo, Michigan
All-section player helped lead the Troubadours into four D-I section finals.
Marisa Kolokotronis, water polo, Brown
Longtime Olympic Development Program player was all-section in 2010 and 2011.
Hannah Lissera, volleyball, Seattle
Helped Troubadours win a D-I section title and finish 38-6 while producing 1,062 assists in 2011.
Bailey O'Mara, softball, Pacific
She's a three-year varsity starter and two-time All Delta River League catcher batted .430 last season.
Gabriella Palmeri, volleyball, Pepperdine
Bee first-team All-Metro selectee and co-MVP of the Delta River League last season leads team in kills, digs this season.
Maile Seto, crew, Tulsa;
A four-year rower for Capital Crew, she's competed on boats that finished second and fourth nationally.
Dana Vestman, volleyball, Montana State
Libero has helped lead 34-2 Troubadours into Thursday's D-I section final at UC Davis.
