Girls top 20: No. 2 Oak Ridge defeats No. 4 CBS in tourney final

Jenn Hoffman and Hayley Anderson each scored 15 points to lead No. 2 Oak Ridge to a 58-47 win over No. 4 Christian Brothers in the championship game of the Trojan Toss-Up girls basketball tournament tonight in El Dorado Hills.

Kira McKechnie had 14 points and Alicia Gonzalez 13 for Christian Brothers.

In the third-place game, Lynette Johnson had 20 points and Jessica Lauderdale 17 as No. 3 Kennedy topped River City 60-41.

In other results reported to us involving The Bee's top 20 girls teams:

• Avonna Lee and Dejza James combined for 40 points in No. 5 Pleasant Grove's 74-47 win over Grant.

• Gabrielle Concepcion scored 32 points to lead Bishop Manogue of Reno, Nev., to a 70-62 win over No. 8 Del Oro in the championship game of the Lady Eagles Invitational at Del Oro High School.

• Junior Kaitlyn Reina scored 24 points to lead No. 11 Bear River to a 58-55 win over No. 15 Placer in the Placer tournament.

• Jaden Garrett's 23 points lifted No. 18 West Campus to a 65-30 win over Forest Lake Christian in the third place game of the Chavez tournament at Lincoln High School. Oroville defeated Lincoln 41-38 in the championship game.
