Modesto Christian to play St. Joe's in Father Barry tourney

Modesto Christian will play St. Joseph's Notre Dame of Alameda at 6 p.m. and Campolindo of Moraga will face Damien of LaVerne at 7:30 p.m. in today's winner's bracket games of the Father Barry Christmas Classic boys basketball tournament at Jesuit High School.

Host Jesuit, which is playing without two injured starters in Lake Lutes and Nick Hilton, will face St. Patrick-St. Vincent of Vallejo in a 4:30 p.m. loser's bracket game.

Jesuit lost 52-48 to Damien in Thursday's opener while Campolindo defeated St. Patrick-St. Vincent 71-69 in double overtime. Modesto Christian beat St. Mary's of Stockton 77-43 and St. Joseph's Notre Dame, last year's CIF State Division V runners-up, beat Bellarmine of Tacoma, Wash., 47-29.
