Christian Brothers soccer receives national academic award

For the fifth consecutive year, the Christian Brothers High School soccer program earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Award.

In order to qualify for this award, a team must compile a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 or higher for the entire school year.

The Falcons latest honor was the 2011-2012 school year.

Christian Brothers is the only California school to receive this award for both the boys and girls teams, according to Kristen McCarthy, the school's director of communications.
