Girls top 20: No. 6 Nevada Union rallies to beat No. 16 Rocklin

Trailing 36-25 at halftime, No. 6 Nevada Union rallied to defeat No. 16 Rocklin 63-58 tonight in a Sierra Foothill League girls basketball game in Rocklin.

Sammy DeHart's 20 points led Nevada Union while Sydney Porter added 16, including eight in the fourth quarter, and Nicole Lierly 11. Lydia Summers topped Rocklin with 25 points.

NO. 1 SACRAMENTO 76, HIRAM JOHNSON 30 - Breanna Garrett had 22 points and Allie Green added 20 to lead the Dragons over the Warriors (0-15, 0-10) in a Metro Conference game at Johnson High. Chaya Durr added 12 points and freshman Andrea Butler eight as the Dragons (19-4, 10-0) remain unbeaten in Metro Conference play.

NO. 2 OAK RIDGE 63, FOLSOM 15 - Yumi Drossos' nine points led 13 players in the scoring column as the Trojans (20-3, 7-0) defeated the Bulldogs (5-17, 0-7) in a Delta River League game in El Dorado Hills.

NO. 3 KENNEDY 64, VALLEY 24 - Dalayna Tyler-Scott had 15 points and Lynette Johnson added 11 as the Cougars (18-4) defeated the Vikings (3-20, 0-10) in a Metro Conference game in Greenhaven.

No. 4 McCLATCHY 67, ROSEMONT 30 - Lauren Nubla and Mika Ishisaka each had 12 points to lead the Lions (19-3, 7-3) over the Wolverines (11-12, 4-6) in the Metro Conference game in Land Park.

NO. 7 CHRISTIAN BROTHERS 87, CASA ROBLE 26 - Sammy Earley had 18 points and Dominique McNeely 15 as the Falcons (17-7, 7-0) downed the Rams (0-24, 0-7) in a Capital Valley Conference game in Orangevale.

NO. 10 FLORIN 86, BURBANK 50 - Daijah Joe-Smith had 26 points and Deja Conger 21 as the Panthers (16-7, 6-4) topped the Titans (11-12, 3-7) in a Metro Conference game at Burbank. Cristina Velazquez led Burbank with 24 points.

NO. 11 DEL ORO 65, GRANITE BAY 43 - Mia Miglinte had 15 points and Stephanie Geyer 13 as the Golden Eagles (15-9, 5-2) snapped a two-game losing streak to beat the Grizzlies (11-13, 2-5) in a Sierra Foothill League game in Loomis. Daeja Black had 15 points for Granite Bay.

No. 13 BEAR RIVER 58, COLFAX 23 - Kaitlyn Reina had 13 points and Savannah Welz added 10 and the Bruins (22-2, 7-1) outscored the Falcons (16-9, 6-2) 32-10 in the second half to coast to victory in the key Pioneer Valley League game in Lake of the Pines.
