Cougars' Johnson; Sheldon's Williams near 200 playoff points

Four-year standout Lynette Johnson, who leads Kennedy against Oak Ridge in Thursday's Sac-Joaquin Section Division I girls basketball semifinals at UOP, has totaled 192 points in her playoff career, according to section media director Will DeBoard.

Among other players seeking individual section milestones:

• D'Erryl Williams of Sheldon also is closing in on 200 points. The senior has now totaled 176 points with one or two games remaining. Sheldon plays Bethel of Vallejo in Wednesday's D-I semifinals at Sleep Train Arena

• Brookside Christian of Stockton junior Tiara Tucker of Brookside Christian had scored 242 points in eight playoff games for a 30.3 scoring average. The section career scoring average leader is Del Campo's Danielle Viglione with a 27.4 mark over nine games.

• Valley Christian of Roseville sophomore Lily Hagerty tied a 20-year old-record when she scored 49 points in her team's win over Trinity of Napa. Viglione scored 49 in a game against Wood in 1993.
