D-I boys basketball playoffs: Bella Vista, Sheldon and Pleasant Grove move on to Wednesday semifinals at Sleep Train Arena

Ahmad Smith had 18 points, Dominic Driggs 17 and Adam Ciszweski 13 as No. 3 Bella Vista held off No. 6 Lincoln of Stockton 67-63 in a Sac-Joaquin Section Division I boys basketball quarterfinal tonight in Fair Oaks.

Bella Vista led 38-28 at halftime and 46-40 after three quarters.

The win advances Bella Vista to the 9 p.m. semifinals on Wednesday against No. 2 Pleasant Grove at Sleep Train Arena.

Pleasant Grove advanced by beating Elk Grove's Franklin 71-30 as Cole Nordquist and Matthew Hayes each had 16 points.

Top-seeded Sheldon, looking to four-peat in D-I, will play No. 12 Bethel of Vallejo in the other D-I semifinal 4 p.m. at Sleep Train.

The Huskies defeated Kennedy 91-62 as D'Erryl Williams had a triple double of 18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Darin Johnson added 21 points, Antonio Lewis 20 (including five three-pointers) and Ryan Manning 12 points and five rebounds. Sheldon made 16 three-point shots.

Matt Nakatomi and Cole Taira each had 15 points for Kennedy.

Bethel beat No. 4 Golden Valley 75-62 in Merced in the other quarterfinal.
