D-II girls semifinals: Balanced Sac High tops Del Oro 52-31

Junior Chaya Durr had 16 points, 10 rebounds and nine steals; senior Allie Green 15 points and seven rebounds; and 6-foot-4 junior post Ayanna Edwards seven points and 16 rebounds to lead top-seeded Sacramento to a 52-31 win over No. 5 Del Oro in tonight's Sac-Joaquin Section Division II girls semifinals at UOP in Stockton.

Freshman Aliceah Hernandez added 10 points as the Dragons will advance to a section championship game for the ninth consecutive time, but the first at D-II.

The Dragons (26-4), who won back-to-back D-III section titles the last two years, will play tonight's McNair/Florin late game winner 1 p.m. Saturday at Sleep Train Arena.

Sophomore Lauren Heyn topped Del Oro (19-11) with seven points and 11 rebounds. The Golden Eagles shot just 23 percent from the field and 36 percent from the foul line.
