Girls Top 20: No. 1 Sac tops No. 3 Kennedy for Metro title

Allie Green had 18 points, Aliceah Hernandez 15 and Chaya Durr 12 to lead top-ranked Sacramento to a 54-38 Metro Conference girls basketball win Friday in Oak Park.

Lynette Johnson had 21 points for Kennedy (20-5, 11-2), 17 in the first half.

With the win the Dragons (22-4, 13-0) secure the Metro Conference title and extend their league winning streak to 90 games.

NO. 2 OAK RIDGE 48, SHELDON 38 - Trailing 22-18 at the half, the Trojans (22-3, 9-0) rallied to beat the Huskies (11-14, 5-4) in a Delta River League game in South Sacramento. Jenn Hoffman had 13 points and Haley Anderson 11 for the Trojans.

NO. 4 MCLATCHY 57, BURBANK 34 - Freshman Gigi Garcia had 18 points to lead the Lions (21-4, 9-4) over the Titans (12-14, 4-9) in a Metro Conference game at Burbank.

NO. 5 BRADSHAW CHRISTIAN 64, ENCINA 27 - Jordyn Bell and Erika Bean had 18 points each in leading the Pride (22-2, 11-0) over the Bulldogs (15-10, 9-2) in a Sierra Delta League game at Encina.

NO. 9 PLEASANT GROVE 75, NO. 8 ST. FRANCIS 41 - Arizona-bound Dejza James had 34 points in leading the Eagles (18-8, 6-3) over the Troubadours (13-11, 4-5) in a DRL game in Elk Grove.

NO. 10 FLORIN 75, ROSEMONT 35 - Dalayna Sampton had 28 points and Daijah Joe-Smith added 20 as the Panthers (18-8, 8-5) downed the Wolverines (12-14, 5-8) in a Metro Conference game at Florin.

NO. 11 RIO AMERICANO 58, MIRA LOMA 30 - Elizabeth Moulton had 13 points, Daizy Wilson and Emily Hansen 11 apiece and Sydney Ford scored four and had 13 rebounds as the Raiders (23-3, 9-0) topped the Matadors (6-20, 0-9) in a Capital Athletic League game at Mira Loma.

NO. 20 WEST CAMPUS 40, CAPITAL CHRISTIAN 32 - Haley Shaner's 13 points helped the Warriors (19-8, 10-0) to top the Cougars (18-9, 7-3) in a Golden Empire League game at Capital Christian.
