Former Delta coach Bob Lee to lead McClatchy football

Former Elk Grove and Delta coach Bob Lee is McClatchy's new football coach.

Lee coached for eight seasons at Delta and compiled a 49-31 record before stepping down after the 2011 season.

Lee's first Saints team, in 2004, finished 8-4 and won a Northern Section championship.

His 2010 team went 10-0 before losing to Bradshaw Christian in the playoffs.

Lee was a head football coach for one season at Elk Grove in 2002.

Lee replaces Malcolm Floyd, the former McClatchy football star (then known as Malcolm Seabron), who went 14-36 in his five seasons as head coach of the Lions.
