Cal's softball team, ranked No. 4 nationally by ESPN.com, will play 1 p.m. Saturday against Sacramento State (16-11) at Shea Stadium.
The Golden Bears (26-3) feature three former Sheldon standouts in Jolene and Danielle Henderson and Lindsey Ziegenhirt.
Jolene Henderson, a senior pitcher, set a new Cal record for wins with 120 on Sunday in beating Utah 4-1, eclipsing the previous record of 119 set by former USA Olympic Team member Michele Granger, now the softball coach at Granite Bay High School.
This season, Henderson is 22-2 with an 0.94 ERA and is hitting .313. For her career at Cal, Henderson is 120-26 with a 1.22 ERA and 1,016 strikouts in 972 innings.
Ziegenhirt, Henderson's batterymate in high school and college and a Bears' captain, is coming off Pac-12 Player of the Week honors and leads Cal in hitting (.384), home runs (12) and RBIs (38).
Danielle Henderson, a sophomore, is Cal's starting third baseman and is hitting .288 with 18 RBI.
