Jesuit honored as nation's top boys soccer team

The Jesuit High School boys soccer team, which went 27-1-1, posted a state-tying 23 shutouts and won its 10th Sac-Joaquin Section Division I championship this fall, was honored today as the nation's top boys soccer team by the web-site MaxPreps and the Army National Guard.

The players and coaches were recognized during the school's spring sports rally, where they were presented with the inaugural national championship banner by MaxPreps founder and president Andy Beal.

Jesuit also finished No. 2 nationally in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's fall rankings.
