Record crowd watches Cal's Henderson beat Sac State 1-0

Former Sheldon High star Jolene Henderson struck out a season-high 14 and allowed two hits and no walks as No. 4 Cal defeated Sacramento State 1-0 this afternoon in front of a Hornets' record softball crowd of 1,212 at Shea Stadium.

Sac State's Caitlin Brooks (9-4) limited Cal to two hits while striking out 10 and walking three.

Cal's Victoria Jones homered in the fifth inning for the game's only run.

Henderson, a senior, is now 23-2 on the season for the Golden Bears.
