Casa Roble wins again in extra innings on Garcia's home run

No. 2 Casa Roble knows how to win the close ones in girls softball.

The Rams (18-4, 7-0) won their fourth consecutive extra-inning one-run game in Capital Valley Conference play today, beating unranked Bella Vista 1-0 in nine innings in Fair Oaks.

Senior Pitcher Kaitlyn Garcia homered and scattered five hits for the shutout win over the Broncos (14-10, 4-3).

On Wednesday, the Rams beat No. 14 Del Campo 6-5 in eight innings as Ali Aguilar had four hits, two doubles and two runs batted in.

Last week, Casa Roble beat No. 17 Oakmont 4-3 in eight innings and topped No. 13 Christian Brothers 2-1 in eight innings.

Garcia is now 18-4, having pitched all 142 innings for the Rams this season.

Casa Roble, which has a one-game lead over CBS (15-8, 6-1) in league play, has won nine games in a row.

Casa Roble plays at Rio Linda Wednesday, then hosts Christian Brothers on Friday.
