Fomer Jesuit outfielder Bosco is NAIA player of the week

Jesuit graduate Jimmy Bosco has been named the NAIA West Player of the Week in helping lead the Menlo College baseball team to a four-game sweep of Corban University of Salem, Ore., last weekend.

A junior outfielder from Granite Bay, Bosco finished the weekend with seven hits, including four home runs and 12 runs batted in.

Bosco is hitting .455 on the season for the Oaks, eighth in the country in batting average for NAIA players.

He ranks first in the nation in slugging percentage (.862), home runs (13) and total bases (125).

Bosco played last season at Arkansas and as a freshman at Cal.
