Snyder pitches, hits CBS to 9-0 win over No. 1 Casa Roble

In another indication that the upcoming Sac-Joaquin Section softball playoffs are going to be a wide-open affair, No. 11 Christian Brothers walloped top-ranked Casa Roble 9-0 in the Capital Valley Conference game today in Orangevale.

Falcons' junior pitcher Haley Snyder scattered four hits and had two hits and three RBIs, including a two-run homer well over the center field fence. CBS had 10 hits.

The win also kept alive the Falcons' hopes of tying Casa Roble for the CVC title.
Christian Brothers (16-9, 7-2) plays Wednesday at Bella Vista; Casa Roble (19-5, 8-1) travels to Oakmont.

Casa Roble moved atop the rankings this week after previous No. 1 Woodcreek lost last Friday to Roseville.
