Charles Jergo memorial will feature plenty of basketball

Charles Jergo loved basketball. The popular Auburn coach, trainer and referee died June 11 at age 55 after a short illness,.

So in honor of Jergo, friends are being asked to wear basketball attire - Jergo's favorite team was the San Antonio Spurs - to his memorial service 2 p.m. Saturday at Parkside Church, 3885 Richardson Dr., in Auburn.

Since there is a gym located across the street from the church, teams will be put together to play games in his honor.

Jergo is survived by his wife Keiki Schoening-Jergo and children Nani Schoening, Sean-Michael Jergo, Anthony Jergo and Joey Jergo.
