Friday's Capital Valley Conference showdown between No. 13 Casa Roble at No. 8 Rio Linda offered a dramatic contrast in offensive styles.

The Rams run the spread offense; the Knights a throwback power run game combined with a dash of dangerous speed.

Led by its talented running duo of Leonard "Thunder" Skattebo Marcel "Lightning" Brown, the Knights ran the ball for all but three offensive plays.

Brown had 224 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries and Skattebo added 76 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries. Skattebo also had a team high 13 tackles.

The Knights, led by Skattebo and James Sanchez (11 tackles, three for loss and two sacks), sacked or dropped Casa Roble quarterback Peyton Wilfley eight times for losses while also forcing a fumble and an intercepting a pass (Zak Burden).

Ron Quinn rushed for two touchdowns, the second on a two-yard that put Casa Roble ahead 21-14 with about five minutes to go in the first half.
