No. 1 Capital Christian to play No. 2 Sac High for Gridley title

Tyler Jennings scored 24 points, including four in overtime, as top-ranked Capital Christian defeated Campolindo of Moraga 80-71 in the winner's bracket semifinals of the 60th annual Gridley Invitational boys basketball tournament.

Jennings, a senior point guard, made five 3-pointers and finished 8-for-9 from the foul line.Justice Mosley, Uchenna Iroegbu and D.J. Wilson each added 11 points for the Cougars.

Capital Christian outscored Campolindo 15-6 in the overtime.

The win sets up an all-Sacramento final for the championship at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Capital Christian will play No. 2 Sac High, a 54-45 winner over Newark Memorial.

Sophomore Solomon Young led Sac High with 19 points, including four 3-pointers. Matt Thomas had 17 points for Newark Memorial.
