Can't say any of these cuts were shocking. The closest would be the decision to let go of quarterback Trent Edwards and go into the season with only two quarterbacks.
Keeping Jerome Boyd was a must with Mike Mitchell still out. Derek Hagan earned a spot. And considering the health of Louis Murphy, the Raiders needed to keep a veteran receiver just in case Denarius Moore looks more like a rookie than he did during training camp.
Lito Sheppard's chances of making the team were slim considering how late he joined the team.
There's still time for the Raiders to make more moves before the Monday Night opener in Denver on Sept. 12. But as of now, the Raiders for 2012 are set.
