Huell Howser's Sacramento visits

Huell Howser, the avuncular public television personality and indefatigable promoter of California's historic and natural treasures, died Sunday. He will be missed by thousands of fans who followed his travels in the Golden State via California's Gold and related TV series.

Over the years, Howser visited parts of the Sacramento region. Here's a partial listing from the Huell Howser Productions website. Some of these episodes can be viewed online. Others are available for purchase on DVD.

• Do not copy and paste outside material into the comment box.

• Don't repeat the same comment over and over. We heard you the first time.

• Do not use the commenting system for advertising. That's spam and it isn't allowed.

• Don't use all capital letters. That's akin to yelling and not appreciated by the audience.
