Docents will help Fort visitors understand the great lengths women went to during the journey west to prepare meals for the family and provide comfort and stability amidst dangerous and unpredictable conditions. Multiple hands-on activities await Fort visitors as they help with sewing, weaving, candle dipping and drawing in a coloring book of pioneer clothing. Interested visitors will even have the opportunity to dress up in authentic outfits to help recreate the pioneer experience. "Hands on History" guests will leave with hand-crafted souvenirs and even some 19th century recipes to recreate at home!
