Gameday: Kings at Milwaukee (Martin and Garcia back to work)

MINNEAPOLIS - So we've certainly talked about this matchup for some time, even if Kings' rookie Tyreke Evans and Milwaukee rookie Brandon Jennings hadn't seen each other yet in their new NBA digs.

I broke it down on last week's NBA page, making it clear that my Rookie of the Year vote is going to Evans at this point. So as the clock ticks in anticipation of tonight's Kings-Bucks matchup at the Bradley Center, we will switch gears toward the older folks on the Kings.

Kevin Martin and Francisco Garcia.

I'll shed some more light on Martin's situation in Sunday's paper, but enjoy these clips of him getting shots up before the game at Minnesota while still wearing a brace. It was the first time Martin had shot before a game, although he has taken shots before a practice during the last week. Martin, of course, had a hairline fracture in his left wrist in early November that required surgery and was expected to keep him out at least eight weeks.

Garcia - who sustained a broken forearm near his wrist and significant ligament damage during his exercise ball accident Oct. 9 - has had the cast off for some time. He took part in some dribbling drills before the game, although his return is still quite a ways off..

KINGS (11-14) AT MILWAUKEE (11-13)

When: 5:30 p.m.

Where: Bradley Center, Milwaukee.

TV: CSNCA. Radio: KHTK (1140 AM).

Kings update: Arco Arena isn't the only building that has been re-energized lately. The Bradley Center has buzzed with the play of rookie guard Brandon Jennings and his teammates. The Kings will need to be at their best to pull this one off. They must play smart, tough and with the sort of poise they have rarely showed on the road this season.

Bucks update: The Bucks have come close to being downright shocking this season. They are 9-4 at home, with three of the losses coming by a combined five points against Dallas, Orlando and the Lakers. Milwaukee has pulled out its share of home victories as well, beating Denver by six points (Nov. 11), Golden State by four (Nov. 14), Charlotte by seven (Nov. 20), Chicago by two (Nov. 30) and Portland by seven in overtime (last Saturday).
