Kings claim Travis Outlaw

OAKLAND - The Sacramento Kings put in a winning bid for forward Travis Outlaw, who was waived by the New Jersey Nets via the amnesty clause.

Outlaw (6-9, 207) signed with New Jersey last season to a five-year, $35 million deal. The Kings did not disclose what the winning bid was for Outlaw.

The move was announced before tonight's preseason game against the Golden State Warriors.

*DeMarcus Cousins is not playing tonight to rest his sprained right ankle. John Salmons (right quad contusion) did not make the trip. Chuck Hayes is undergoing more tests on his heart today and is not with the team.
