PORTLAND, Ore. - The Kings had less than 24 hours to enjoy their victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Tonight's game doesn't figure to be easy. The Portland Trail Blazers have a team that figures to give the Kings problems with its frontcourt trio.
Gerald Wallace tallied 21 points and nine rebounds in Portland's win Monday over Philadelphia. LaMarcus Aldridge had 25 points and seven rebounds while Marcus Camby grabbed 13 rebounds.
Perhaps the compacted schedule will make it easier for teams not to dwell on wins this season.
"Well I hope it's easier," said Kings coach Paul Westphal. "We don't know yet. This league is always about forgetting the last game, whether it's a great game or a terrible game."
What Westphal hopes carries over tonight is the energy the Kings played with on both ends of the floor.
"I thought last night the offense and defense were both very good for this stage of the season," Westphal said.
