Kings basketball president Geoff Petrie announced in a press release Friday afternoon that the team has renounced the rights to center Samuel Dalembert, guard Pooh Jeter, swingman Marquis Daniels and forward Darnell Jackson.
If the Kings had retained Dalembert's rights, they could have had the option to sign up to a five-year contract, one more than the rest of the teams in the league. Now they can only give him up to a four-year deal.
