THIRD QUARTER

Blazers 74, Kings 65

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Kings haven't gotten the solid play from their guards tonight that helped them win the season opener.

Starters Tyreke Evans and Marcus Thornton are a combined 4-of-15. Evans has taken only five shots.

Jimmer Fredette has nine points off the bench on 4-of-10 shooting.

The Kings best player has been DeMarcus Cousins (15 points, seven rebounds) but he also has three turnovers.

LaMarcus Aldridge (20 points, seven rebounds) and Gerald Wallace (17 points, seven rebounds) have been key in helping the Blazers pull ahead.

The Kings shot 4-of-19 in the third quarter.

SECOND QUARTER

KINGS 46, BLAZERS 46

Portland, Ore. - The Kings led by as many as 12 in the second quarter.

A lot of that had to do with the play of reserves Jason Thompson (nine points, two rebounds), J.J. Hickson (eight points, five rebounds), and Jimmer Fredette (six points).

The Blazers closed the half on a 14-2 run and are led by LaMarcus Aldridge, who scored eight of his 10 points in the second quarter. Gerald Wallace has a game-high 13 points.

The Kings continue struggle with free throws. They are 1-of-6 after making 60 percent Monday night. The three-point line also hasn't been good to the Kings. They are 1-of-5.

The Kings have eight turnovers, which have led to five points for the Blazers.

The Kings have held the Blazers to 40 percent shooting (18-of-45) while still making 50 percent of their shots (22-of-44).

FIRST QUARTER

KINGS 25, BLAZERS 23

PORTLAND, Ore. - Seven different Kings have scored to help Sacramento take an early lead. The Kings are shooting 50 percent (12-of-24). The Blazers are shooting 40.9 percent (9-of-22).

DeMarcus Cousins leads the Kings with six points and two blocked shots. Chuck Hayes already has six rebounds for the Kings.
