DALLAS - The Kings lost their second consecutive game with their worst offensive showing of the season.
Aside from the franchise lows for points in a half (23) and field goals (eight) in the first half, the Kings had their lowest point total and lowest shooting percentage of the season (25.6 percent).
They also made only 22 shots, another season low.
The point total matches the fewest scored in the Sacramento era. The Kings scored 60 Jan. 10, 1991 at Charlotte.
DeMarcus Cousins had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Kings (4-9). Marcus Thornton led the Kings with 14 points.
Jason Terry scored a game-high 21 points to lead Dallas (8-5).
THIRD QUARTER
Mavericks 72, Kings 45
DALLAS - The Kings made seven shots in the third quarter after making only eight in the first half. That only cut into the Mavs lead by two.
DeMarcus Cousins has 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Kings. Marcus Thornton has 14 points.
The Kings are shooting 23.4 percent, well below their season average entering the game (40.5 percent), which is 29th in the NBA.

DALLAS - The Kings are historically bad tonight.
They have set a new franchise low for points in a half. The previous low was, 25, when the Kings were the Rochester Royals playing against Boston on Feb. 26, 1957.
The Kings made eight of their 46 shots (17.4 percent). That's the fewest field goals made in a half in team history.
Jason Terry (13 points) and Dirk Nowitzki (12 points) have more points and more made shots (10) combined than the Kings as a team.
At this rate, the Kings will be lucky to score 50 points for the game.
FIRST QUARTER

DALLAS - The Kings' season-long shooting problems aren't looking any better. The Kings missed their first eight and then their last 10 field goals of the quarter to shoot 4-of-25 in the quarter.
The Mavericks closed the quarter on a 17-3 run that was sparked by Jason Terry's eight points off the bench.
DeMarcus Cousins has four points to lead the Kings. This was the Kings' lowest-scoring quarter this season.
