In-game blog: Kings at Blazers

FINAL
Blazers 101, Kings 89

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Kings lost their second consecutive in another double-digit road loss.

Jamal Crawford led the Blazers (10-7) with 26 points.

DeMarcus Cousins had 18 points and 13 rebounds for the Kings (6-12).

The Kings host Denver on Wednesday.

THIRD QUARTER
Blazers 74, Kings 56

PORTLAND, Ore. - Not much changed for the Kings in the third quarter. The Blazers only scored 21 points but the Kings couldn't cut into the lead.

The Kings are shooting 33.9 percent and have been outrebounded 47-27. The Blazers are shooting just 42.3 percent, but the Kings struggles on offense have made that percentage more than adequate.

Jamal Crawford, who chose to sign with the Blazers over the Kings, has 20 points off the bench.

DeMarcus Cousins has 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Kings.

HALFTIME
Blazers 53, Kings 38

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Kings didn't defend well, take care of the ball or shoot well in the second quarter and predictably fell behind big.

The Kings are shooting 35.9 percent and have eight turnovers that have led to 12 points for Portland. The Kings are being dominated on the glass, too. Portland has a 29-17 advantage in rebounds.

The Blazers have 15 second-chance points, too.

DeMarcus Cousins has eight points and rebounds for the Kings. Tyreke Evans has nine points and Jimmer Fredette has nine points off the bench.

Gerald Wallace has 15 points and eight rebounds for the Blazers.

FIRST QUARTER
Blazers 21, Kings 21

PORTLAND, Ore. - How bad was the first quarter on offense for both teams?

The Kings and Blazers combined to make 14 shots, one more than the number of fouls called combined.

The Kings made 6-of-19 shots (31.6 percent) while Portland was 8-of-23 (34.8 percent).

Donte' Greene, DeMarcus Cousins and Tyreke Evans each had four points for the Kings.

All 10 Kings that are healthy played in the first quarter.

Wesley Matthews leads the Blazers with seven points.
