MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Here are your five things to watch when the Kings go for their third consecutive win tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies.
1. A fast start
The Kings jumped out to a 32-20 lead after the first quarter Friday night at San Antonio which was key in beating the Spurs. If the Kings can do that, they'll be in position to win late.
2. Glass work
DeMarcus Cousins leads the NBA in offensive rebounds per game (4.8). If the Kings continue to struggle with their shooting, this has become a big part of the Kings' offense.
3. More rebounds
Jason Thompson has back-to-back games with 10 rebounds. He'll have to be active when dealing with Memphis center Marc Gasol.
4. Floor vision
Kings coach Keith Smart is pleased with how Tyreke Evans is seeing the floor and getting teammates involved. Evans had seven assists in last night's win.
5. Mike Conley
If the Grizzlies point guard breaks down the Kings off the dribble it could mean trouble for the Kings. The perimeter defense must be good to help keep the frontcourt out of foul trouble.
