NEW YORK - Tonight will be all about Jeremy Lin, the second-year guard that has become an international star during the Knicks six-game winning streak.
What can the Kings do to overcome Linsanity? Here are five things to look for:
1. Jimmermania
Kings rookie Jimmer Fredette is playing his first NBA game in New York. Fredette is from Glen Falls, N.Y., and there should be a lot of support for him tonight. In Fredette's first homecoming this season at Salt Lake City, Fredette missed a three pointer that would have given the Kings a lead late over the Jazz. How will he respond tonight after sitting out last night with a stomach illness?
2. Another big night
DeMarcus Cousins began this road trip with 28 points and 17 rebounds against Chicago. Can the second-year center have another standout performance? They have been more common for Cousins under Keith Smart.
3. Thomas watch
The Kings' comeback fell short last night, but once again rookie Isaiah Thomas was on the floor when the rally began. Thomas brings energy whenever he is on the floor.
4. J.T.'s task
Knicks forward Amar'e Stoudemire missed four games after the death of his brother and returned last night at Toronto. Jason Thompson will likely be asked to keep Stoudemire in check tonight, a role Samuel Dalmebert filled well last year in a Kings win at Madison Square Garden.
5. Defense, please
Can the Kings get some stops? Chicago shot 52.4 percent against the Kings and until the Kings make it tougher for teams to score, they will struggle to win.
